The DASP Innovations Project was run during 2002. The Project received funding from County administered NGFL grants. The focus was on innovative use of ICT in schools. It was decided to purchase Mimio devices for all 18 schools in the partnership. Each school could decide how to use this resource, with the most common theme being local studies.
As well as hardware purchases, funding was made available for an Advisory teacher to support schools in using the Mimio. Also, it was decided to present the Projects end products as a website and staff time was financed to make this happen.
Collaborative work has always been a feature of DASP and this was no exception. With schools comparing studies and meeting regularly.
A number of conclusions were made about Mimio technology. And some suggestions about how it might best be used.
